The city is more popularly known as the "City of Seven Lakes". Lake Sampaloc (or Sampalok), Lake Palakpakin, Lake Bunot, Lakes Pandin and Yambo, Lake Muhikap, and Lake Calibato.Located in the southern portion of Laguna province, it is one of the oldest cities in the Philippines. By land area, it is the largest in the province of Laguna. Its population ranks sixth within the province after the cities of Calamba, Santa Rosa, Biñan, San Pedro, and Cabuyao.

Twin Lakes

Pandin and Yambo Lakes
San Pablo, Laguna

Pandin and Yambo are twin crater lakes separated by a narrow strip of land. They are part of the Seven Lakes system in San Pablo, and are situated at Brgy. San Lorenzo in San Pablo City of Laguna province in the Philippines.

Lake Pandin is said to be "the most pristine" of the seven lakes of San Pablo.

How to get There

  • From Manila â€“ Ride a Jac Liner or any bus bound for Lucena in Buendia/Kamias Bus Terminals. Alight the bus in SM San Pablo then ride a jeepney to San Pablo proper. Walk from the final stop inside the public market to 7/11 located near the church and ride a jeepney going to Ilog. Alight in Brgy. Sto. Angel, just in front of the entrance to Pandin and Yambo Lake which you would easily notice Choose whether to get a local guide (not necessary unless you want to give a local child his baon come school day) or simply ask them for directions to Pandin Lake and walk on your own (very doable).

Sampaloc Lake

San Pablo, Laguna

It is the largest of the Seven Lakes of San Pablo, Laguna. Nearly half of the lake's depth has a shallow depression at the bottom, indicating its volcanic origin. The lake is behind San Pablo city hall and is dotted with fishpens and small cottages built on stilts.

HOW TO GET TO SAMPALOC LAKE

  • From Manila, just take a bus bound for Lucena via San Pablo City. Most San Pablo bound buses have bus terminals in Cubao and Buendia/LRT. Fare is around 127 pesos for air conditioned buses and travel time is around 2 hours. Just ask your driver to drop you in front of theSan Pablo Medical Hospital.

  • From there you can take a jeep going to the city proper of a hire a tricycle. If you decided to take the jeep, ask the driver to drop you at the San Pablo Central School, from there the City hall is just around 300 meters away. Fare is only 8 pesos.
